  LOVE AFTER LOVE by Derek Walcott The time will come when, with elation, you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror, and each will smile at the other’s welcome, and say, sit here. Eat. You will love again the stranger who was your self. Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life, whom you ignored for another, who knows you by heart. Take down the love letters from the bookshelf, the photographs, the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.

  Just like that, with still rising COVID numbers and deaths, masking and Vax passports are cast aside. This government, ugh.

 N was given a gift of baking classes. Since she is now schooling online, this is a nice way to get out of the house, try to learn new things, and meet new people. I am grateful for those who thought of her so lovingly.

 

  A new bud is blooming today!! My sister in law is being induced today!  I am soooo excited for their little family 💕  #metaphorsoflife   ------ Also, this is like the 4th time this orchid has bloomed for me  and anyone who knows me, knows how black my thumb is. This is a miracle!! ------ The 5th day is regarded as the  birthday  of the God of Wealth and hence respect is payed to the god. Also, it is considered not too wise to leave the house for too long, just in case the God of Wealth should pay a visit to the family's house.

  The fourth day is basically a continuity of the third day, with a cautious avoidance of evil spirits. Today was so unlike yesterday, and yesterday, so unlike any other day I have experienced so far. So a day of just literally laying low and doing nothing but reading and journaling was good.

The third day of the New Year is allocated to grave-visiting, usually. Some people conclude it is inauspicious to do any house visiting at all, as it is believed that evil spirits roam the earth this day and hence it would be bad luck to be outdoors. --------------------------------------------------  And on the worst days, like today, it is a jumble of confusion--groggy, dizziness lightheadedness, vision lights askew and buzzing, sounds of throbbing making everything seem tunneled and unclear. Getting up to move to the bed from the couch proved to be a poor idea when I was overcome with dizziness at the door and then woke, moments later, with my face in a broken bowl and my 19 year old running down the stairs to come to my aid. A call to non-emerg line yielded a call to 911 and a visit by EMS. I am sure they were lovely. They can participate in group study and discussion, learn from the students with good grades, and strengthen their friendship with classmates. They can also join some extra courses related to interest, which can not only benefit their study, but also widen their scope of knowledge.   They are lively, cheerful and talkative. After entering adolescence, they like to make friends. This year, they should pay attention to possible injuries and clashes when playing or doing sports with friends. They may have puppy love ideas. It is better for them to handle the relationship properly to avoid its negative influence on their
